Which NFL Team Is Most Likely To Sign Johnny Manziel?
- Updated: March 23, 2017
Two years ago the Broncos had Peyton Manning running the offense and the Lombardi Trophy in their back pockets. Last year, backup-QB Brock Osweiler left for the big contract that was waiting for him in Houston while Manning bolted for the La-Z-Boy chair and sleeping in on Sunday mornings, leaving the Broncos with literally no experience at the QB position. They turned to 7th Round QB Trevor Semien from Northwestern to start the 2016 season. While Semien put together a solid season, the Broncos finished with an 8-8 record and missed the postseason. Semien doesn’t look to be the long term answer at QB, and current backup Paxton Lynch might need some more seasoning before he’s ready to take he reigns. Manziel was roommates with Super Bowl 50 MVP and Texas A&M graduate Von Miller his redshirt year in college, and Von Miller has reached out to Manziel before, offering his help in any way possible. Miller would be a familiar face and an accountability partner to Manziel, and the possibility for Manziel to be involved with a winning franchise with a Hall of Fame QB running the team in John Elway is a dream scenario for Manziel.
